Obsession
by Míchealín Daugherty

For Catty the Cow and Den Mum, whose obsession with me
was so profound it ballooned until they both self-destructed

One can become quite ill
Watching them writhe
In perverted twisted vainglory
Where the seeds of jealousy
Have grown into unsightly vines of hate

Two corpulent podgy bodies
Overfed on the fat of envy
Desperately chasing Her shadow
Squeezing themselves through chasms of neurosis
Crawling blindly in their own repugnant venom

Preoccupied fixated possessed
With everything She does or says
And stupidly unaware of the vileness they reek
Even when all who smell its sordid stench
Cannot help but vomit it back into their laps

Two evil women
Who have nothing left in life
But an echoing Obsession….

Did you hear what She said today?
Did you see what She wrote today?
Did you hear what She said today?
Did you see what She wrote today?
Did you hear what She said today?
Did you see what She wrote today?
Did you hear what She said today?
Did you see what She wrote today?

Pathetically grasping thin air for any
meagre morsel of opprobrium.
